In approximately 2015, Tina Patch, then working as business consultant to Dr. Melissa Weinstein's OBGYN practice in Paramus, New Jersey, purchased the domain www.drmelissaweinstein.com and associated hosting to build the original practice website for Dr. Melissa Weinstein. Original purchase invoice and registrar records are reproduced in Liar, Liar - Scrubs on Fire as Exhibit G. Those records, including the initial purchase and payment confirmations, show the domain was acquired with the purpose of launching the practice site and that the registrar record names Tina Patch as the registrant and billing contact at the time of purchase.

The domain has been continuously registered to, paid for by, and owned by Tina from 2015 through the present day. The registration was never transferred to Dr. Melissa Weinstein or her medical practice. Renewals and billing entries in the registrar history reflect continuous ownership by Tina; there is no registrar record of a transfer of registration to Dr. Melissa Weinstein or to any corporate entity associated with her practice.

In November 2019, in testimony before a Bergen County grand jury, Dr. Melissa Weinstein alleged that Tina had "taken over" the domain after the November 2018 business dispute.
