A Timeline of the Dr. Melissa Weinstein Vs. Tina Patch Case
This is the eight-stage timeline of the criminal case brought against Tina Patch (now Tina McGlynn) on the testimony of Dr. Melissa Weinstein, an OBGYN formerly of Paramus, New Jersey. The two had been close friends for 37 years before October 2018.

The Chronology
Two Libras Meet
A brief account of meeting in Syracuse, NY as teenagers. Two close friends whose lives would remain intertwined for the next 37 years before everything fractured in October 2018.
October 2018
The Practice Years
Tina is brought in as a business consultant to Dr. Melissa Weinstein's OBGYN partnership with Dr. Pat Robinson in Paramus, NJ. Conducting a forensic accounting, Tina documents over $400,000 in irregularities by Dr. Robinson dating back to 2007. The two doctors part ways in 2018, leading to the formation of Paramus OBGYN LLC.
The Discovery
After numerous dicussions with Dr. Weinstein that were full of hateful retoric- Tina lies awake unable to sleep and subsequently discovers that Dr. Melissa Weinstein has called seven narcotic prescriptions into a local Walgreens in Tina's name, fraudulently using Tina's medical insurance without her knowledge or consent.
The Break
Communication between the two women breaks down completely in the wake of the prescription discovery. Tina is officially fired from the practice on November 1, 2018.
The Phone Call
While on her honeymoon, Tina receives an unexpected call from a Paramus detective, marking the beginning of the criminal investigation that would soon take over her life.
The Grand Jury
Dr. Melissa Weinstein testifies before a Bergen County grand jury. Based on her false testimony, an indictment returns three second-degree counts against Tina: identity theft (2C:21-17a), computer crime (2C:20-25), and theft by deception (2C:20-4).
Pro Se
After two years of proceedings stalled by the COVID-19 pandemic, Tina elects to represent herself in court. Judge McGrogan grants standby counsel as she prepares to face the charges directly.
The Dismissal
After being blessed with a lawyer with a Princeton degree- the case falls apart when the State prosecuter is finally given over 1000 pages of exculpatory evidence. The most serious charges against Tina are finally dismissed. The process of expungement is initiated, concluding a grueling four-year legal ordeal sparked by the actions of her former friend.
